Sensitization Workshop on Intellectual Property (IP) will happen on 20th April,2016 (NM-AIST) Tengeru Arusha

The NM-AIST welcomes interested individual to attend a one day sensitization seminar on “Intellectual Property for Artists, Scientists and Entrepreneurs in the East African Community”

The seminar will take place at the Tengeru Campus of the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) on Wednesday 20th April 2016 from 9:30am to 1:00pm.

Trainers will come from the East African Community (EAC), Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH), Network of Intellectual Property Organizations of Africa (NIPOA) and the School of Business Studies and Humanities (BUSH) of the NM-AIST.

Participants of the seminar will also take part in the official launching of the Indigenous Knowledge and Technologies Initiative (IKTI) of the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology.  IKTI aims at arousing interest in research and documentation in indigenous knowledge issues among scholars and forge complementarity and synergy between conventional science and indigenous knowledge.
